Lift Every Voice: A Lenten Journey of Justice - Day 17
Day 17: Justice and Mercy Go Hand in Hand
Scripture: Zechariah 7:9 (NIV)
"This is what the Lord Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another.’"

In the morning when I rise, give me Jesus.
Reflection:
Justice without mercy is harsh; mercy without justice is empty. God calls us to embody both. As we seek justice in our communities, let us also bring compassion, seeking restoration, not just retribution.
Prayer:
God of justice and mercy, help me to balance both in my life. May I never fight for righteousness without love, nor offer love without seeking justice. Amen.
