Many in the Kansas City community are still grieving after the life of an 11-year-old girl was taken away by a bullet as she was simply sitting in her home. Kourtney Freeman is her name.

 

Enough is enough! What is wrong with us as a people, a neighborhood, a society  and as a community. The cry for justice should be persistent and our work to end violence and crime in our communities should be relentless.

 

Somebody knows what happened.

 

A society that hides and condones violence against children is a doomed society.

 

The work of the church is summarized by the Preaching, Teaching and Healing ministry of Jesus. Our children deserve a safe and secure place to grow, thrive, achieve and fulfill God's purpose for their life. The church, school, government and the family units across our nation need a wake up call. The life of this child should never be forgotten. We should  all be outraged and motivated to do all we can TOGETHER to improve the quality of life for our families and children in Kansas City.

 

The shedding of innocent blood must end. 

 

Prayer:

Please comfort and care for victims of crime and enable us to be Your feet and hands and mouth as we minister to them in Your name. 

We pray for justice, healing, reparation and reconciliation for all victims of crime.
Help us to help the wounded, to take them to the Inn of healing, to bind up their wounds, and give them all they need to get better, instead of bitter.

Lord, we need your guidance and strength . Lead us to make a difference in our community.

In Jesus Name, Amen
