A ministry of love extended to the widows, widowers, and senior members of our congregation in which packages of love including food items, household products, fruits and vegetables, etc. are personally delivered by the associate ministers of Friendship to their homes every first Saturday of the month.
A community partnership with the Seven Oaks Neighborhood to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to community residents and remove blighted vacant lots in an effort to provide a safe and clean neighborhood.
A financial literacy program in partnership with the Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University and the Urban League of Kansas City to provide financial education to adults and child to stimulate generational wealth and economic growth. Seminars are held three times a year along with the establishment of child savings accounts.
A ministry of help and hope providing utility assistance, food assistance and resource identification for persons in need.
Hope Ministry is open on Wednesdays after 5:00 pm and providing food baskets on the 1st and 3rd Sundays following morning worship services.
This ministry plans, supports, and oversees recreation activities that include but are not limited to volleyball, basketball, summer baseball, exercise classes, as well as the church picnic and other fun activities that promote physical, emotional, and spiritual health of congregants and the community.
A small group ministry that focuses on providing fellowship and supporting the mental and intellectual health of congregants who enjoy reading and sharing ideas with others. This ministry meets in informal settings on a quarterly basis, and includes members of the community as in moments of reflection on selected books for reading. Literature selected is primarily inspirational and all are welcome to come and share in the experience.
