Scripture (NLT):
"But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ."
— 1 Corinthians 15:57
Easter wasn’t a tie — it was a triumph. Jesus didn’t barely make it out the tomb — He walked out with the keys of death and hell in His hands (Revelation 1:18). And here’s the shout: He didn’t keep that victory to Himself. He gave it to you. Every spiritual chain — addiction, shame, fear, generational trauma — was broken when Jesus rose.
For all believers who have carried the weight of centuries of oppression and injustice, this victory reminds us: no matter what systems say, God has the final word. And the final word is freedom. You are not a prisoner to your past. The grave couldn’t hold Jesus — and it can’t hold you either.
The cross was the cost, but the resurrection was the receipt — proof that you’re already free.
Create a "Victory List."
Write down three specific things Jesus has given you victory over — even if you're still walking it out. Speak them aloud as declarations of faith. Then write one area you're still believing God for victory in — and pray over it each day this week, thanking Him in advance for resurrection power at work.
Example:
Jesus, thank You for the total victory You won — not just over death, but over everything trying to destroy me. Help me to live like I’m free. Remind me that I don’t have to fight alone, because You already won the battle. Teach me to trust You as I walk in that victory. In Your name, Amen.
