The Emanuel Lisk Youth Center is a $3.7 million, 7,706-square-foot facility designed to provide a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment where young people can learn, grow, lead, and connect with their community. 

The state-of-the-art facility features a 96-seat multimedia theater, eight technology-equipped classrooms, children’s and adult restrooms, a welcoming reception area, and a commemorative brick paver walkway honoring the legacy of supporters who have prayed for, believed in, and contributed to the vision for a new youth center since 2006. 

Designed with safety, accessibility, and functionality in mind, the center has a maximum occupancy of 291 and provides comfortable, well-managed spaces for youth, families, staff, and community partners. Each classroom accommodates up to 25 participants, creating an environment that supports personalized instruction, meaningful interaction, effective supervision, and hands-on learning. 

The center is named in honor of Deacon Emanuel Lisk, a local pioneer in faith-based education who served as Sunday School General Superintendent at Friendship Baptist Church for more than 35 years. His legacy of faith, service, education, and commitment to young people is reflected in the mission of the center.
