Children

 

Our Ministry serves children ages Nursery – 6th Grades. It meets the fourth Saturday of the month at the church from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm for all activities.

 

It is our prayerful desire that every child have a personal, life-changing experience with Jesus Christ through worship, Bible study, prayer, and connectivity with children of their own age group.

 

We offer children a spirit-filled ministry that includes

• Exciting Bible learning experiences
• Children’s Choir
• Girl Scouts Program
• Boys to Men
• Ushers
• Jubilant activities that stimulate learning and friendships.

Our Mission is to ensure each child has the privilege and the opportunity to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. We strive to provide our children with the foundation to develop a personal relationship with Christ and to ensure active involvement and inclusion in class, worship services, Bible Study, and community service projects.

 

Our Goal is to teach children the Word of God so they can understand how to make their life, and their life with Christ, one.

 

 

Summer School Academic Program

In partnership with the Kansas City Upper Room School Initiative to provide a six week academic program for students emphasizing reading, science and math. The school is held at Friends and tuition is free. The program is open to stdents grades 1st-8th.

 

Story Time: Kidz Korner

Youth

 

Our Ministry serves youth 7th through 12th grades, with worship on the 3rd, and 4th Sundays of the month.

 

This is a critical time in life – physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually when a young person begins the journey from nurturing safety and protection of childhood to the freedom and responsibility of becoming an adult. Through diverse activities, worship services, fellowships, and outreach opportunities, we seek to help our youth discover God’s Word for their life and the journey that lies ahead and that they are fearfully and wonderfully made for God’s purpose in their lives.

 

All youth are invited to come out and join us weekly for our iTeen worship experience utilizing media, technology, and hands on interaction to teach the gospel. Teens will experience powerful praise and worship and elevate their life with anointed ministry of the Word. They will connect with their peers, and hear from special guest speakers and guest ministries.
