For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? - Matthew 6:25-26

I'm looking out the kitchen window this morning watching a beautiful Blue Jay bird do a dance with the autumn leaves. I can't help but think about the Anxiety, Stress ,Panic and more that is a part of life in the COVID-19 environment. We find ourselves at times overwhelmed. Stress and Anxiety are unavoidable realties of life. But the best prescription for them is found in God's Word. That's why we should read it, meditate on it and think about it daily. The bible is more than just a book written by men. It is God's love letter to us.

Do not be worried about your life... this is what the bible says in Matthew 6:25. How is this possible when chaos and conflict are a daily news story? Rumor and Gossip stoke fear and panic in the hearts of people everyday. The violence in our communities and virus that we are enduring make life a daily hazard for many of us.

But in the midst of all of this, this verse spoke to me today. "Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?" - Matthew 6:26. I'm still watching this Blue Jay , who now is accompanied by two other Blue Jay birds...and all I can hear is God saying, "Are you not worth much more than they?" God has plans for our life, a purpose for our presence on this planet, an assignment that we must complete and a witness that we must give. Our life is ultimately in His hand. Keep Clam and Trust God.

We are not overwhelmed by panic and stress when we stop and realize that our Heavenly Father is watching over us. He loves us and has promised his presence, power and protection over our life, we must trust Him and keep in mind that this world is not our home.

Be thoughtful today. Be kind today. Be courteous today. Be loving today. Be forgiving today. But most importantly. Be at peace today with God and others.

"Heavenly Father, I bring my problem to You. The situation is beyond my control and influence, and I feel helpless; but You have the power to change circumstances. I know You love me perfectly and whatever You have planned for me is for my good. Show me how to respond, and I will obey You. I look forward to seeing the way You choose to express Your love, wisdom, and power. In Jesus Name, Amen.
