Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses. - Proverbs 10:12
Difficult people are all around us! We cannot continuously avoid individuals who anger and frustrate us. From slight irritations to open conflict, disagreeable people know how to push our buttons and make it hard to build and maintain relationships. How do you handle the challenging people and situations in your life?
Perhaps the best approach to difficult people is self-restraint and humility.
For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.- Romans 12:3
A Prayer When Dealing With Difficult People
Heavenly Father, I want to handle disagreeable people graciously, and according to the approach You have outlined in the Scriptures. Speak Your Wisdom into my heart and mind when I have to communicate with problematic people. Lord , help me honor you with my lips and my life. In Jesus name. Amen
