Word for the Day
I begin the calendar year of 2021 with a commitment to work on me. I have found it easy to identify the faults in others, while ignoring my own. Instead of blaming those around me for my lack of peace and progress, I dedicate my energies and enthusiasm toward self-improvement.

 

God’s desire for me is growth to His glory. I will practice self-examination, prayer, and the reading of God’s word. My vision will be filtered by God’s amazing grace, realizing that my improvement and that of others is made possible because of God’s love for humanity. He loves us despite us.

 

 

Prayer for the Day
Heavenly Father, I need you to help me, help myself. Show me how to participate in my development. Lead me deeper into your Word and produce in me the Fruit of the Spirit. May I develop a humble and kind heart. May I show patience with others, as well as myself. Lord, help me become a better a person and Christian. By Your power and in Your Name, Amen
