My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

John 15:12

 

The standard , definition and best example of true love is understood and experienced through our relationship with God. All other examples and models are secondary. The love that God pours out upon us is often ignored, taken for granted or viewed as insufficient  as a result of our self absorbed and warped perspective on life.  Simply stated: God is love.

 

May we develop ,reflect and demonstrate toward others the same love that God has shown to us. If we have failed or fallen, may we find the courage to get up and love again. Never forget how God loves us. Undeserved, unmerited, unrequited, unrelenting are just a few words that describes God's love for us. In spite of our hypocrisy, inconsistencies and our duplicity...God still loves us! 

 

Our family life, marriage, collegial relationships and overall health could improve greatly if we would seek to love others as God has loved us. You can do it, you can love others like God has loved you!

 

Love never fails.
